Walking along the famous Oranienstraße (Orange Street) in Kreuzberg I come across this building:
Written in black block letters across the building’s façade is over a dozen versions of the Turkish past perfect tense suffix, ‘-miş’. Perhaps a meaningless repetition of letters to a tourist, but the building’s decor seems in perfect harmony with its street: a humorous take on the language’s resolute presence.
